lagging in Adobe LiveCycle form

I created a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer (see https://www.dropbox.com/s/jam3uy41hurrm4f/LogBookMAS%20no%20attach.pdf?dl=0). When I open the form in Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, and move the mouse over the interactive fields, the pointer becomes a rotating icon (system busy) and typing in a text field or clicking a checkbox is seriously slow/lagging. The form does not have any scripts, and the problem does not occur when I open the form in e.g. Foxit Reader. I think it is a specific (renderer?) setting in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, but I cannot find it. Can anyone help me solve this issue?
