Problems with graphics

1. Can someone tell me why I´m forced to use bitmap-graphic? In Acrobat 6 I could make a form with any graphics I wanted (ie gif, png, EPS). (Not the whole truth - I noticed that I can cut and paste square-shaped illustrations but I couldn't cut and paste circels...)



2. Why can't I choose to send a filled form as a PDF? Why must I send an XML?

I have read
this topic and I understand the solutions of my problems. Still - I have one question - Why does Adobe have TWO simular ways to do forms, why not combine them? One editor to do ALL PDF-changes? *sigh*
