For content fragments, how do we handle locale specific?

Avatar

Level 6

What is the preferred structure to handle locale specific content fragments in DAM?

Say I have this folder structure

/content/dam/my-site/en/cf

And I have 2 locales

Japanese
French

Would my structure be like
/content/dam/my-site/en/cf

/content/dam/my-site/ja/cf

/content/dam/my-site/fr-ca/cf

Is this the right way to do it?

And if I want to make language copies, would I just create a new translation project to /content/dam/my-site/en/cf, and roll it out to /content/dam/my-site/fr-ca/cf?

Hi @AEMWizard ,

In our project we have followed below structure and it is working well for us, although we are not translating CF, but you can.

/content/dam/content-fragments/country/language

And if using Content Services (Headless) then below can be used. It is easy for content authors to manage and edit the content if they would know where exactly to go for different content services

/content/dam/content-services/<name of the content service>/content-fragments/country/language

For translation, Content fragments will be translated along with the pages using them.

General translation of assets - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/admin/transl...

Thanks,

Chitra
