New tools/content viewer question

Avatar

I use the Folio Builder to create presentations, then have users log into the Adobe Content Viewer on their iPads to download and present.  I never actually publish the presentations, just use the Content Viewer.  Is there a similar "free" solution to do this same thing with the new DPS 2015?  I don't want to publish anything and spend ridiculous amounts of money, just continue to use a free viewer.

Hi Bill,

In order to preview content with DPS 2015 you need either a DPS license or a trial account.

I am part of a Creative Cloud for teams membership.  Can I get more details on how to add a DPS license to our plan, who to contact, how much more it would cost, etc?  I need something to forward on to the person who manages our account to see if this is something we would be able to add for going forward. Also, for previewing content with DPS 2015, does it use the Adobe Content Viewer still and anybody can access the content from anywhere?  Or is there a new app?

DPS is an enterprise level product with a price a to match.

DPS2015 is a new system and the preflight app requires a full license to use it.

Hi Bill,

A DPS license is separate from Creative Cloud. You can get pricing information by requesting a sales consultation; contact info is available at http://www.adobe.com/go/dps. Note that DPS 2015 is an enterprise solution and is priced accordingly.

The equivalent app in DPS 2015 is Adobe Digital Publishing Solution Preflight. It is currently in the process of being approved by Apple, and is already available in the Windows and Android stores.

So basically I have to continue the headache of having 2 different InDesign apps? Do you know if they will keep the DPS tools around for CC2014 or be dropping them in the future?  I'd hate to lose the tools one day without there being a solution for us little guys (non-enterprise).
