Cell Aspect Ratio across Android and iOS

Avatar

Level 5

Anyone worked out a way of designing a non-tile-centric Browse Page for Android and iOS? I've read Tommy at Bates' comments and they are useful...

However, it seems that if you're working in % compared to DIP its a little easier - but as these layouts aren't responsive at all, there is a big compromise if you design specifically for one platform, the other suffers quite a bit.

eg:

Tablet for iPad: use 768 x 1024 layout spec

Tablet for Android tablets: use 800 x 1280 layout spec

Designing across mobile is even more of a challenge.

Using these two settings creates a totally different result on each tablet.

You end up with a product that isn't right for either platform.

Would be ideal to take this offline so I can share with you my work todate.

Thanks

David
