Re: Customization of Article Access Lock Screen davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi Neil, I'm hoping this will be something that is customisable within a few sprints. Can I ask for this as a feature request as a matter of urgency - need this purchase point to have a better appearance, on brand, improved text - ie: drop in HTML in place.Your previous solution in DPSuite - Next Free Article, etc - was spot on. Is this possible? Big ask I know, but a big client is requesting it.Much appreciated.David

Re: Why cards, browse pages and banners are not scaling in android - Adobe DPS 2015? davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
One tip is to use % instead of 'dip' for margins. It might well work. Also keep the aspect ratio of the grid units to a low number 1:1, 2:1 etc. Just what I've been finding. And ensure you test on a couple of devices. They are ALL different - so its not a surprise one needs to compromise, as this system is NOT responsive. Not having a bad experience by any means, quite enjoying the new Layout Templates tool, and this system beats the previous one or having to code it, hands down!!One thing you can...

Re: Why cards, browse pages and banners are not scaling in android - Adobe DPS 2015? davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I've come across this problem too - you have to compromise on Android (for now) - I find that just tweaking the image margins and also gutter spaces and so on gives me the chance to fit everything in nicely across both. It takes a lot of tweaking and squeezing on the card sizes and also banner sizes. You can try to add in some 'blank non-URL banners' as 'spacers' to help with things. I've used this alot on my current 12 app project...But you have to remember that iPad is 4:3 and Android is prett...

Re: "DPS 2014 Classic"support for how long? Urgent case study :) davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi FoloboDPS Classic is supported for the forseeable I'm told...BUT: You are much better off recommending to your client to go with DPS2015 as the development roadmap is pretty exciting and you'll get better support if you're part of it. In DPS2015, you can publish individual articles, and 'collections' of articles. And you'll need relevant product IDs registered with Apple / Google for anything you wish to 'sell' (via collections only). Including any subscription offers.I don't think its possib...

This is not possible at this time... its either portrait or landscape from an app layout perspective.

Re: How to teach DPS 2015 without previewing app? davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
All you need is an Adobe ID, and you have a free trial to the best platform there is. And - get a new ID and you can carry it on. Its a trial, so one couldn't publish anything to devices in the main, aside from trial apps and the Preflight app. So its a great option - you just have to start again each period...Otherwise DPS Classic (Suite) is still running.Nothing else compares though or even comes close, as a code-free environment right now that's easy to pick up in a matter of days.

No, you can use the Adobe Preflight app - just like the Content Viewer app. You sign in with the Adobe ID you use for DPS2015 and onwards from there is easy.

Who reads portrait and flips to landscape and back again? Its not on my roadmap either... poor user experience and I agree that DPS sticks to portrait or landscape only and not 'dual'...

Dual Layout function not working on Android davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hello. Just getting into the dual layout feature in DPS2015. We're seeing that Android phones and smaller tablets are not seeing the 'phone' rendition layout.iPhone / iPad works beautifully. But when you view the same collections on smaller Android devices (ie: phone, and google nexus 7"), you see the TABLET layout. The collection has 'Phone, Tablet' applied to it. And the designs are different in the layout for each device size.ThanksDavid

Re: Can anyone explain the difference between Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) and Digital Publishing solution (DPS)? davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
This may add to Colin's response.DPS Classic publishes folios (ie: an 'issue') into a classic app. This app is fixed layout - ie: has a generic look like all other Adobe DPS Classic apps. You can also add an html kiosk storefront to the binary app, to enhance the main home screen, however this can be time-consuming and costly. You can use Indesign CC to create your layouts, or HTML, or PDF. And you still have to use the Folio Builder to create your issues. And then publish via the Folio Producer...

Suggestion: Analytics and data reporting davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
It would be a godsend if you could allow publishers to integrate their own analytics packages into DPS.Not everyone can afford AEM / Marketing Cloud - and already have in-depth existing arrangements with alternative providers across entire corporations. Is this something you see as possible? Or is it a 'never gonna happen'...?

Re: Card that calls the subscription feature within iOS davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi Nathan, thanks for your response. We're looking for two things:• banner / card that envokes the iTunes subscription dialog between the customer and the app• banner / card that envokes the third-party entitlement sign-in.Both these are vital for consumer publishers, and I am absolutely *amazed* it's not something you see as a priority at this stage. Customer journey to purchase and subscription sign-in user experience is no.1 on so many publishers' lists.ThanksDavid

Card that calls the subscription feature within iOS davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
A simple, but definite request. Highly urgent, and justifiable... can someone give me a clear reason why this doesn't exist, and if this is on the roadmap for the next drop? Thanks all.David

Re: A request for a Feature-request forum with "kudos" davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I agree - I am 100% positive that a full search is on the roadmap - its been requested by many. As for product heirachy - does collections within collections or articles within collections not work? I do know what you are saying... and can see HTML storefronts being on many people's feature lists. Be keen to know how far down the road map this is with Adobe, if at all, and if any customisation is possible outside of the portal.

Re: A request for a Feature-request forum with "kudos" davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hmmm, why would you need a custom storefront when DPS 2015 is totally customisable?Yes, I know you'll say you want your own effects and animations in there - and I am sure cards and browse pages will support that soon enough - but the system is built to be completely original from one user to the next - (ie: no two DPS 2015 apps should ever be the same as previous, and the tools are far more flexible than stuffing a 20MB storefront into a DPS app that would need updating and no doubt fixing on a...

Feature request/improvement: Transition effects between entities davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hello. One for Andrei / Kristy, perhaps.I've been working with DPS 2015 since July - and as an avid user of Spotify, You Tube and Facebook, I see their transitions between sections and elements as perfect. Is there any way you could look at the fade in/transitions from article to collection and vice versa. Its jumpy and - especially if your card design is dark, the animation goes white to reveal something dark again. I've noticed that when users tap the menu and use the list - the transitions are...

Re: DPS Subscriptions and Subscription Families davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Without overstating this, I think this is now a major priority feature request (and now a major issue for publishers as its not there!) that needs to happen in the next drop. For so many reasons, mainly, it was a solid feature in DPS Classic that now no longer exists. If you want publishers to migrate over to the new platform, you need to be consistent with storefront elements and features in the new app builder. Yes, inviting users in to the browse pages and sampling content is key, but the abil...

Re: DPS Subscriptions and Subscription Families davidhicks_dps - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Here's a question:I have an app, ready for iOS and Android, tablet and phone. I want to have a 'button' or banner, in the home browse page across all devices, that points the user to purchase from a list of subscription options once tapped (eg: SUBSCRIBE HERE). Is this possible? Would I need to create two separate projects - one for iOS and one for Android - as the button would need a different action for each platform... Quite urgent this one (big publisher). Many thanksDavid
