Avatar

Hi,

Does Adobe Campaign provides a way to track delivery data on recipient of emails that they received as forwards from other original recipients from Adobe Campaign?

Thanks & Regards

Hi Piyush,

When a link is tracked by Adobe Campaign, it embeds the broadLogId and deliveryId in the tracked url in order to identify the recipient from its click.

When such a tracked email is forwarded to someone else, the links are going to remain the same.

Hence, even if the person clicking on the email links is different from the intended recipient, open/click will be registered against the original recipient only.

At best you can only estimate the forwards. Check out the documentation below;

https://docs.campaign.adobe.com/doc/AC6.1/en/DLV_Delivery_Reports_Indicator_calculation.html

Search for 'Estimation of forwards'

This is the context - "Difference between the number of distinct people and the number of distinct recipients who clicked in the email at least once."

The formula to claculate is; "@personClick - @recipientClick"

Thanks for the response Vipul and Alastair.

It would have been wonderful if it can even track the email ids of recipients to whom the email was forwarded to (like outlook meeting invites) which would result into additional leads for us.
