need help with roles

 This is a request to understand the differences/permission access between these roles .

can someone please explain?

 

Administrators Role

Deliverability Role

Delivery Supervisors Role        

Standard Users Role   

Support Role   

Workflow Supervisors Role

Hey @MANDM123 

Groups are composed of users sharing the same roles/permissions. For example, if user abc and user def should share the same roles, you would add them to same group. If you need to create custom groups, you need to create them both in the Admin console then in Campaign UI. Then, you can assign roles to the group. Roles are a list of permissions/authorisations.

 

The link shared above has a table with detailed permissions of what a user can do.

 

To take your example:

Delivery supervisors (group) have the following roles:

* Export, Prepare Deliveries, Start deliveries, Workflows.

You can check this table again to understand what a user can do with these roles: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/campaign-standard/assets/acs_rights.pdf?lang=en

 

Workflow supervisors (group) have no roles. Users added are being notified when a workflow fails to execute correctly.

Hi @MANDM123,

 

I exlain to you the different roles you are asking :

Administrators Role: Someone that has full acccess to all the system, configurations and permissions.

Deliverability Role: Takes care of email deliverability, optimization and monitoring like managing email metrics, email bounces, black lists ..

Delivery Supervisors Role  : Oversee campaign functioning incluiding delivery approvals, monitorization and ensuring smooth delivery workflows.      

Standard Users Role   : They manage daily tasks like creating campaigns, but with limited permissions in comparison to spervisors and administrators.

Support Role   : Takes care about troubleshooting and technical support, being able to see logs, error reports but has limited access to operational tasks.

Workflow Supervisors Role: They manage and monitor workflows, ensuring proper execution of processes such as segmentation, data loading or automated tasks.

Hi @ccg1706 

 

do we call them as groups rather than roles, can you illustrate by showing me an example abc user that has been assigned delivery supervisor VS xyz that us assigned workflow supervisor.

 

also is the Adobe campaign standard UI where it has security groups the correct place to determine if a user is linked to a particular group, rather than checking in the admin console.
