I am just starting on ACS,

  1. Can campaigns run without setting expiration so they run forever?
  2. What happens if a campaign was set an expiry date, how do we resume/remove the expiry date?
  3. How do I quickly check which campaigns had expired?
  4. Also please kindly share documentation around this.

Hi @o_X,

  1. Can campaigns run without setting expiration so they run forever? - Yes.
  2. What happens if a campaign was set an expiry date, how do we resume/remove the expiry date? - You can simply remove the start and end date on the properties of the campaign.

3. How do I quickly check which campaigns had expired? - You can either setup a query to look at the campaigns that are expired or maybe use the timeline option from ACS.

4. Also please kindly share documentation around this.

Note: When you don't set any start and end date it will show the execution status as In progress and after the end date it will show as finished. There's no expired status.

Thanks, Sathees

Hi Sathe,

If a campaign has expired, will removing the end date autostart the workflows inside it? Just wondering, if a campaign expires, does all the workflows inside stop executing also? even if they are on a scheduler?

Also why do campaigns without expiry date do not appear in the timeline?

@o_X If campaign expires that won't affect the workflows inside. It will continue to run on the scheduled date & time.

Also why do campaigns without expiry date do not appear in the timeline? - As far as I know, start and end dates are required to appear on the timeline.

Thanks, Sathees
