ACS Acquisition Landing Page | Capturing Last Submission Date on Form Submission

Happy 2023 Experience League!

I'd like to capture the submission date when a recipient completes a landing page form fill. 

I figured I could do this through two approaches: 

1. Using the LP Properties to update the profile with additional data. I'm just unsure of how to write the "Value" so that it captures =Today().

2. Using Custom JS on the button click to capture the date and send it to the Profile Ext API

Thoughts on best approach?
