There has been requirement to back out some of recipient from the prepare Delivery of campaigns.
so the delivery is just now pending for approval for content and targeting.
At the analysis found that some recipient should not be included.
Is there any way to remove these from delivery.
we tried making change in status on delivery log from pending to delivery cancelled.
but when approve the target of delivery all the recipient received emails.
we also tried with deliery. recompute status but no luck?
Is there is way to perform this activity.
thanks,
Kaushal
Hello Kaushal,
When a Campaign target is generated it cannot be altered once the delivery has been compiled. The only way to alter the population would be to stop the delivery, update the targeting workflow, or list, etc, that you are using target a population and recompile the delivery.

Craig
Hi Kaushal,
You can remove recipients during delivery analysis using typology rules.
If you know fixed conditions then use filtering typology type and exclude then from your target population.
If you have dynamic data condition, then store them in delivery variables and then exclude them using typology rule.

Good point Jyoti, though one question. If the delivery target and content is already prepared then hasn't the delivery executed both pre and post typology checks?
Thanks Jyoti,
The question is more on when all the typology were applied and the delivery is just waiting for delivery (only approval is pending). so either delivery is approved or cancelled which means entire recipient will be targeted or none. Is there any way we can remove some of recipient without cancelling entire delivery?

Hi Kaushal,
Deleting records from Recipient /Broadlog also won't help once the delivery is fully prepared and just waiting to be confirmed.
You need to stop the delivery ,delete records and then execute the delivery.
Thanks,
Anita
HI Kaushal,
Here's the step you should follow:
1) Create one Control type Typology Rule. Define your conditions within the rule, i.e exclude recipients based on certain conditions.
2) Select Phase as ' At the end of Analysis' . This makes sure that your typology is executed at 'postMessage' phase, which is just before delivery is sent out.
Thanks,
Jyoti
