hi all,

in one schema for one attribute I observed it is mentioned  advanced="true" ....

Normally I JUST define schemas without advanced attribute like below just want to know why we have to use

advanced="true" in schema

what is difference it will make if we dont use it...WHY WE have to use it

<attribute  desc="DCNS REGISTRATION TOCH ID" label="Registration touch point ID"
name="DCNS_REGISTRATION_TOCH_ID" notNull="true" sqlname="DCNS_REGISTRATION_TOCH_ID"
type="int64"/>

<attribute advanced="true" desc="DCNS REGISTRATION TOCH ID" label="Registration touch point ID"
name="DCNS_REGISTRATION_TOCH_ID" notNull="true" sqlname="DCNS_REGISTRATION_TOCH_ID"
type="int64"/>
<attribute advanced="true" desc="DCNS PREFERRED TOCH ID" label="Preferred touch point ID"
name="DCNS_PREFERRED_TOCH_ID" notNull="false" sqlname="DCNS_PREFERRED_TOCH_ID"
type="int64"/>'

Hi @DishaSharma ,

When advanced="true" is defined for an attribute, that attribute will be hidden from default structure view. However, on clicking 'Display advanced fields' (3 dots at bottom to the scroll bar) you can able to see view the attribute.

@ParthaSarathy

understand what it does,

but what is the purpose of using this in business scenario

why developer define advanced="true"  for an attribute in schema

how does it help

as normally

I JUST define schemas without advanced attribute

so curious to understand the same

If you want to hide an attribute in default structure view, you can define advanced="true".
