SC new feature on User creation

found a new feature this morning where it is compulsory to put in our password on the User Management screen. How does everyone else find this?  I feel it is an extra step and cant see the benefit.

Would like to hear your view.

Adobe may even consider removing it?

Thanks.

Hi Hang,

Thanks for your feedback.

Current Password field has been added for security purposes. Administrators who want to add a user account, or edit an existing one, must enter their administrative password in this field. So admins will be involved whenever there is a request to change passwords which is a secure process.

Hi TM,

Thank you for your response.

My point is, this has always been a secure process, in term of the respective user needs to be logged in, as well as to have Admin right.  I don't see what extra security the additional password provides.
