Report Builder is not available for the Mac directly - however, I have a Mac and I use the VM Ware version of Excel and Report Builder works well in that environment.

Hi Christopher,

Report Builder currently is only available for Windows operating system. If you don't have a windows machine at your disposal, I would recommend you to use Analysis Workspace which gives you equivalent amount of flexibility. Thanks!

It's 2020 now.

Microsoft open-sourced ActiveX long ago. Office applications - namely Excel - are nearly identical between platforms – Windows, Mac, and the web versions. There is really no reason not to re-tool Report Builder for Macs.

No, it really doesn't. The year/year comparison for a partial month simply doesn't work outside of a basic data dump of information. The percent change calculator adds rows for every time period between lat year and this year, then displays an infinity sign for the % change. To say it's awful and poorly implemented is an understatement.

Analysis Workspace data visualisation is quite limited and the ability to integrate other data points with web analytics data are restricted. Report Builder is a slightly more robust solution and it's still frustrating that it is not supported on Mac's.

I find this deeply disturbing. We are in 2017 and a significant number of customers use Macs. Excel on Macs are widely used as well and if not for the lack of Report Builder, I would not need to use VMWare or any other virtual machine.

Can you guys at Adobe get your act together and build something that can be immensely useful to your customers?

I bring this up again.

There are still a lot of Mac-User who really want to work with report builder without an VM.

Are there any new plans enable us to use report builder in excel on Mac?

Agreed - late 2019 and still no solution. I would also like to know about plans

I'm having this same issue. VM Ware not an acceptable solution.

2023, and still waiting... nothing.

Report Builder For CJA works natively on the mac and has been available for over a year

This is reassuring @michaely9742131 - and happy it's working for you
Unfortunately not everyone is on CJA at this point. We were hoping for an interim solution.

Just to add to this as it is 2024!

Originally asked in 2016, so many reasons for it to be a simple thing and still isn't 8 years later...
