Order vs Leads when to use the purchase event
Hi Community,
I have a website that is fully e-commerce. Our users can purchase a monthly subscription online and or if there are technical issues that result in the user not being to complete their order, they are redirected to a lead form.
My team is currently tracking these leads as purchases, which is polluting my order and revenue, average order value, etc. I want to capture to capture the lead reference and be able to match the product the user was looking at when they were directed to a lead. I also want to tie the sale back to the lead reference and product once we have converted the lead to a sale offline.
How can I approach this? I want to delete purchase event on leads, as my team is currently doing and only set a purchase event on successful purchases.
