File Downloads - Truncated file URL

Hello,

File URLs that are reported in the "File Downloads" out-of-the-box report are truncated after their 100th character.

This is due to the fact that the value of the related "oid" query parameter of the tracking call is truncated the same way.

Now, I would need the full file URL to be available for reporting purposes.

What is the best / most straightforward way to get this?

Should I assign the value tracked with the "pev1" parameter to an eVar, as eVar have 255 characters as their maximum length?

I abandoned the download variable/event entirely, collecting the value in an eVar and firing a separate event on download.

Agreed with Nadelberg here. If 100 characters doesn't cut it, I'd use an eVar.
