Excluding IPv6 addresses in Adobe Analytics

Hi Team,

I was reviewing the IP exclusion rules article (link) and noticed there is no mention of IPv6.
As far as I know, it is supported, but I wanted to confirm its use for internal networks.

If my internal IPv6 address starts with 2001, should it be listed for exclusion as a regular external IP address?

Also, is the limit still 50 IP addresses for exclusions?

Thinking if I should continue leveraging classification rules instead and add ipv6 addresses.

Thank you,

I haven't had to start using IPv6 yet... I agree it should be supported.. but I don't want to lead you down the wrong path.

If you are collecting IP addresses in a dimension, you should be able to use classifications, but this may also have security implications...  some places have to use IP Obfuscation, so tracking the IP Address in this way would go against those policies.. I am going to reach out to an Adobe contact and see if they have any newer information in regards to IPv6.

Hey @Kayzee08 I was checking this as well, as far as I know,  IPv6 is yet to be fully supported in the Analytics. You might see values in some places, like the data feed for IPv6, but they are not available in the workspace or DW. So, not sure if it will work in the exclusion rules as well
