ECID question

Why are we seeing such small id's? We have used Tealium ES to have this implemented.

This is strange, but this an eVar where you must be copying the ECID values.

Can you please send a DW request against these eVar values? Add Experience Cloud Visitor ID dimension in your DW report along with eVar 200. Check if you're seeing the same values in Experience Cloud Visitor ID dimension as well.

You can also do pull a Data Feed for the same and check the values against mcvisid column.

Thanks @fhusain I tried this approach and surprisingly I could not see any of those id's in the adobe provided dimension for ECID.

Do you mean you see a different value in Adobe provided dimension? If yes, then it could be that the value might not have copied correctly to your eVar.

I mean I could not see the smaller ECID that could be seen in v200.

Hey @PD10 ,

This could be bot traffic as well and it shouldn't have two visitors assigned to it. Can you also double-check your implementation to see no other values are getting passed?

You can also run Data Warehouse report (as mentioned by @fhusain ) as ECIDs with IP address. Then reverse look up the IP address if same values are present in export as well. Usually, reverse IP lookup gives you an idea if it's a bot or a bug.

Best,

HI @igupta, I checked and no other values is being passed in the implementation. How can I identify the bot traffic and get rid of it?
