The specific ask is to set the Content-Type to text/plain

I hope you are referring to the /b/ss/ image requests, and they are gif by default. What exactly is the business case to change it to text/plain? Also, they might not work as expected if you change the content type.

As far as I know, you don't need to set any content type if you're using AppMeasurement or Adobe Launch.
If you're performing server-to-server tracking, you can consider using the Data Insertion API https://github.com/AdobeDocs/analytics-1.4-apis/blob/master/docs/data-insertion-api/index.md.
Hi @yuhuisg, The customer is asking me if I can make the content type of b/ss to be as plain/text.

The content type is really controlled by Adobe. Ask your client to bring this up with Adobe Customer Care.
