Blog Monitoring.

Hi All,

Does Adobe Analytics have any feature which will help me monitor blogs? E.g. in video monitoring, the heartbeat technique send a server call with the monitored results after every 10 seconds which helps Analytic work out the report in details. Do we have anything on similar lines for blog monitoring?

Appreciate any help in this direction.

Hi Brian,

I think I have failed to explain myself and will try again.

1. When an user enters a blog post, the image request is fired.

2. But how much has he read the blog or when did he leave the blog isn't something automatically covered under Adobe Analytic.

What I am trying to understand is whether Adobe has already come out of any kind of solution for tracking blog reading or at least intends to do so in future. I read the heartbeat solution and was thinking if we can use similar approach for blog tracking.

Please let me know your comments about blog tracking.

Hi Partha,

Heartbeat only applies to video tracking and there is no other out of the box standard equivalent for site content consumption. However in Adobe Analytics you can custom set events or custom traffic variables to better understand time on page or blog post activity indicators. You could set also set any variables via custom link tracking if you do not want to increment another page view as well.
