Annotation in Analytics

Is there functionality with in Adobe Analytics to log annotations? Specifically creating an annotation and having it show somehow as a warning on charts showing over time. Have a few instances where this would be critical for historic records.

Hi @Ishan_Sinha_ I did go in and complete a Calendar Event, set correct dates, color visuals and shared with everyone once saved. What I am not seeing is that newly saved event represented in an area or line graph for the time frame needing the visually annotation. Have I missed a step here?

Are you trying to use calendar event in workspace or Report and Analytics(R&A)?

Calendar events cannot be used within workspace as of now.
If a user would like to access a calendar event, they would need to follow the path below:
Login to Analytics >> Components >> Calendar Events >> Search for the calendar event you would like to use >> Check the check box for "On Report".
Once user checks the "On Report" for a calendar event, that event will be visible on the Site metric reports which has the graph with dates.

Hi @vibhatna Yes I am trying to view a calendar event in analytics workspace.

As the creator of the event I am not presented with the checkbox for 'on report' is this a bug?

Calendar events is not available for workspace as of now. It can only be used with Site metrics reports like Key metrics, Page views, Visits, UVs etc. in R&A.

For workspace there is no such feature available as of now.

As you are owner of the event, you do not need On report option to be checked. You can see that calendar event you created on Site metrics reports.

You can make use of Calendar events ; https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/analytics/components/t-calendar-event.html

Also, In Workspace you can add in some free text as a visualization or panel type.  Which can help explain what's going on.  Same with Dashboards.  Regular reports do have a note section at the bottom.
