We do have a challenging question that requires an update to the UI - the team are looking to build a time comparison (last week vs. 52 weeks ago), but need it to encompass a different reporting week than our default in Adobe Analytics.
Ideally they could use logic such as the screenshot below – but it just needs to go one week further! They need to be able to select beyond 365 days to get the same week last year.
A practical example would be (see screenshot also):
Last week: 30th May 2016 - 6th May 2016
52 weeks ago: 2nd May 2015 - 8th May 2016

Hi David,
The next best option I can think of is to reach out to your Adobe Consultant and have a customized solution created for you.
Also, for your convenience in future, I would recommend you to create a feature request around it on our ideas exchange here - http://ideas.omniture.com so that it can be implemented. Thanks!

Hi David,
If i understand your requirement correctly, you could use a date range like this:
Start: Start of Current week minus 53 weeks
End: End of Current week minus 53 weeks
You can not select more than 365 in terms of days in the options but you could make use of number of weeks instead if you want to go more than a year back. Let me know if that fulfills your requirement. Thanks!

Thanks Tanmay - we can see the week minus 53 weeks option. That only works when your date range is to align with the default week set up in Adobe.
Our scenario requires that we compare two weeks that do not align with the standard calendar week (i.e. week minus 53 weeks, minus 3 days).
Key to this question is establishing a different reporting week to the default - as financial reporting is not 100% aligned to the same reporting week across our organisation.

Hi David,
To achieve that you would have to use the 'Customize Calendar' option. This would allow you to set the first day of the week. But the caveat is that it would affect the data globally and any segments/date ranges based on time would change. You could look into this documentation for more information https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/reference/custom_calendar.html
Let me know if this was helpful, thanks!

Thanks for the replies Tanmay. We can see that changing the first day of the week would resolve this - however our organisation isn't 100% aligned around this. So we need the ability to either offset by defining "week minus 53 weeks minus 3 days" or have a selection beyond 365 days, to cater to multiple starts in a week.
