Virtual Report suites of Virtual Reports

Hi There,

We currently have 1 report suite and are building virtual report suites from it.

However what we would love to be able to do is something like the following:

MAIN RSID (Level 0)

<-- This contains all traffic, bots, internal IP traffic etc

VIRTUAL REPORT SUITE (Level 1)

<----This would be a clean report suite linking to data below with bots/internal traffic removed. This is currently possible

LIMITED VIEW VIRTUAL REPORT SUITE (Level 2)

<----This would be a limited view of data which uses the Level 1 VRS Table as it's basis. Any changes to Level 1 would be reflected in here.

There is an obvious work around however we will soon be in a position where we have around 30 different limited views in parallel at level 2.

Dave,

When you say 'any changes to Level 1 would be reflected here', do you mean changes to metric/dimension availability?  Or Changes to underlying data?

The latter would be accomplished by using the same base segment in Level 1 and Level 2.  That way if you update the segment for level 1 it would be applied to 2.  This is part of the reason why segment stacking is such an important concept - rather than building one large segment.
