Sometimes there is no common pattern to let you use the search bar to select the values of variables (line items) that you want to be plot in the graphs. And also the desired items might not necessarily be the top 'n' items as well which are by default selected for plotting.

Users should be allowed (may be via checkboxes) to handpick the line items that they want to be plotted in the graph.

When looking at a trended prop report, under Configure:, then the "Report" tab, next to Selected Items:, click "Top" and then click "Select new items". A separate window will pop up and allow you to choose up to 5 values to trend.

Is this what you want to do?

Thanks.

the suggestion in the comment is a solution but takes a long time. If I'm looking at a ranked list of results, i'd like to be able to quickly select from there the items to trend vs then having to re-search them in the "Select New Items" dialog box.
