For workspace projects that are built around a specific use case, e.g. the detailed analysis of a specific site feature, it'd be extremely helpful if we could upload a screenshot/image and place it next to our visualizations to provide context and better tell the story with data.
According to the help text in Alerts:"Time Granularity refers to both how often the alrt will be checked and what will be included. For example, a granularity of 'Daily' will be checked once a day and look back at the last day's worth of data." This doesn't seem optimal. The lookback window on any alert (regardless of granularity) should cover at least the past month. The granularity I specify should only be an indication of how often I want the metric checked and an alert sent. For example, suppose there's a drop in Revenue on Monday, July 1st. Adobe should examine Revenue for the month of June (not just Sunday, June 30th's data) to determine if the drop in Revenue exceed the confidence intervals. I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if unclear and I will elaborate further.
Hi,we would like to have an Option in Report Builder to "Not count Repeat Instances". This option already exist in Workspace, but we would like to have it also in Report Builder. It is really important.
When viewing a freeform table containing URLs it would be helpful to be able to open those links directly in a new tab.Currently I get around this by copying to clipboard and pasting, then deleting the metric info that gets copied too before loading the page.Ideally an option on the right click menu saying something like "Go to link" or "Load page". Anything!
IssueDeleting data is incredibly problematic (and expensive!) in Adobe analytics. One of the impacts is on our agility - we have several dimensions that are tied up as they contain historic data that is no longer relevant and we are waiting for that data to disappear through the standard data retention deletion process before we reuse - This is something we really struggle with. RequirementsThe requirement is to be able to quickly re-purpose variables/dimensions, thus increasing the flexibility/agility of the Adobe Analytics tool. For this scenario the requirement is to prevent end users seeing the historical data (rather than deleting the data). Therefore I was wondering if there was an alternative approach which would allow us to free up dimensions quickly for new purposes. Possible solution? The problem with deleting data seems to be unpicking all the processing that has happened. My thinking is this unpicking could be avoided by having virtual variables (much like a "virtual tra
Hi,Last Touch Non-Direct attribution model should be an option. Also Last Touch model gives odd numbers, the above one should help.As it is if Direct or Internal Marketing channels are set not to Override Last-Touch Channel the model will increase the None channel.Thank You!
Hi There,Working in the travel sector we (and many of your clients) have 3 keys dates, which are:Booking Date (This is standard date in Adobe Analytics).Checkin Date (The date of the start of a Car Rental / Hotel Stay / Flight / Holiday / Cruise etc)Checkout Date(The date of the end of a Car Rental / Hotel Stay / Flight / Holiday / Cruise etc)which creates 2 key metrics for the businessLead Times (The date difference between Booking Date and Checkin Date)Duration (The date difference between Checkin and Checkout)Currently we (and all of the people in our industry) capture Checkin and Checkout using evars. We export this data into SQL and Qlik / Tableau when we want to manipulate it however this is not ideal. Whilst we can easily capture the metrics as events using our data layer it creates an issue where if a customer places 2 bookings in 1 visit or refreshes the metric does not work (both are common). If Adobe allowed an evar that used Unix time format to allow it would be a huge benef
Looking at Activity Map, it would be really awesome if there was a way to vizualize path analysis. Say, I have an odd path that I see has an increasing trend and I see the path that they are taking but perhaps it covers some pages I am less familiar with (the website I do analytics for has thousands of pages, Kind of hard to visualize each one). If I could select a path and then it take me to a view that I could follow the path that the user saw, that would be amazing. Being able to visually see it in the sense of Activity Map but follow the actual user's experience would be very helpful.
I did contact Client Care about this as I believe it's a bug / defect but they advised it's working as per design, if so the design would seem to be a bit flawed. The introduction of visibility control for an event was a great idea (though I'm still waiting on the same for dimensions). The concept of hiding except for builders so the front end isn't bombarded with unnecessary events makes a lot of sense, we can rely on calculated metrics to surface what we want, how we want and with any necessary modifications (e.g. segments or calculations). What doesn't make sense to me though is that to me the idea was about making things easy in the front end, Data Warehouse however can't use calculated metrics which means if you want to use any event in Data Warehouse you can't use the function. I would view Data Warehouse as a 'builder' given you can't use calculated metrics (in the same way you can't in builders) and it's designed for more technical users getting out large scale data. Not being ab
We want to send app data to multiple report suites - an app specific one and a global rollup which also contains our website traffic data. Currently when we modify the mappings to evars and props processing rules are created in the app report suite but not the global report suite. This is causing a large admin overhead. It would be ideal if you could specify a secondary report suite for an app so that the processing rules are consistent across all report suites
when searching for items (projects, schedules, metrics, ...) i'm able to look for certain tags or flags.i would love to see an option to "exclude" all items that do not contain a certain flagexamples from the past where i could have used this option- show any calculated metrics that do not contain "test" => exclude tag "test"- show all calculated metrics that have no flags => exclude all tags- show only projects from other users => exclude "mine"- show projects that are approved but not shared with certain group => include "approved", exclude "certain group"i think there are a lot more examples where an exclude option could be useful
...thus preventing unwanted/nuisance alerts :-) It would be great if there was a way to tell Adobe when our maintenance windows were so alerts weren't triggered. Potentially it may be neccessary to configure on a per alert (or group of alerts) basis as different areas of our site have different maintenance windows.
I have some stakeholders who want reports sent every quarter (instead of every month or every week). It would be great if one could schedule Workspace Projects to send with a quarterly cadence.
Came across an issue where the other party wanted numeric data specifically. Anything else would break the integration. So here is the idea:Allow for segments to be built on certain data types such as numeric, boolean, string, integer, etcAllow for segments to recognize space in a condition (ex: if evar1 contains space)
Hi Team,I am generating a report using DWH. I used Traffic variables, In the report head, I am seeing the variable number say prop61, prop62, prop63 appended to the variable name as below Page Name(prop63), Page ID(prop64). Could you please provide an option to show or hide the variable number in the column header?
I noticed a major privacy problem with API 2.0 while testing out the possibilities of restricted permissions for normal users:Using the command https://analytics.adobe.io/api/[mycompany]/users?limit=[XX] a normal user can get a list of all users in a given organization. This may pose a privacy issue as a normal user should not be able to see the usernames, admin status, email, first & last name, phone number, and title. Those are highly personalized information on any given user. Usually, I would think that only admins can get access to this information. Even though a "normal" user has no writing rights to manage, change or create users this is still a problem.Client Care says that the function is working as intended but this feature should not be an intended function for API 2.0. Please change this so that only admins can use this function and normal users only get information on their own account with https://analytics.adobe.io/api/[mycompany]/users/me.
Especially with the push towards virtual report suites, it seems increasingly useful/necessary to have a way to convert currency from what the originally-specified currency code for a report suite is set as. Although virtual report suites allow the user to change the time zone, it does not allow you to change the currency code for revenue reporting. I think the better solution than updating the currency code at the VRS level may even be to just have standard revenue metrics with the conversion rates built in. My company, for one, has groups of stakeholders that often look at UK/EU properties together, but the employees may prefer either GBP or EUR for their reporting. It would be great to allow them the flexibility of reporting in whichever currency they wish regardless of the report suite settings.
If a calculated metric is used within another calculated metric, the nested calculated metric does not retain a link to the original. Instead the nested calculated metrics is a copy of the original. This means if the original calculated metric is changed the nested calculated metrics is unaffected.Current behaviour:Caculated metrics 'A' is nested in Calculated 'B'Calculated metric 'B' actually contains a copy Calculated Metric 'A'When the original Calculated Metric 'A' is changed the copy within Calculated metric 'B' is unaffectedTherefore, when calculated metric 'A' needs updating it is necessary to change the original metric and every copy individually (inefficient)Please can you consider making nested calculated metrics retain a link to the original to prevent us having to make changes in multiple places?
As an admin it would be useful to be able to filter for segments that are shared (but not necessarily shared with me)
What about having a feature where a rolling date range could go backwards. Example:timerange a: Starting July 16th 2018 and rollingtime rnage b: should end on july 15th 2018 and always roll backwards with the same amount of days just like time range a.Wouldnt this be a great feature!
Adobe captures a session timestamp. That timestamp, at present, is not surfaceable in processing rules. Understandable becauuse processing rules do not have regex or parsing capabilities. However, the atoms of that session timestamp, and associated metadata, are very valuable to a researcher. These include: "As a researcher, I want to cross the HH:MM with a video name so that I can calculate an AMA.""As a researcher, I want to cross the day of the week with a pagename so that I can compare Monday traffic patterns to Sunday traffic patterns in aggregate.""As a researcher, I want to cross HH:MM with timezone with a video so that I can understand how timeparting and timezones affects AMA." If specific components of the timestamp could be surfaced in processing rules, multiple timeparting features could be enabled. (The implementor would assign that data to specific variables to taste). A concrete example: a.hour : expected value 00, 01, 02, 03 ... 22, 23a.minute: expected value 00...59a.
The multi chart functionality works on ranked reports but not on trended reports even though it makes it look like you can do this. Would like this functionality on trended reports for the same reason it exists on ranked reports. Also even with ranked reports when they are added to the dahboard they no longer show the multiple charts.
Many times business team is concerned about data of last bucket because there is no visibility on chart about time of last update. I strongly suggest you to add this detail in the note of any chart, in the same way we have now other details:I ask that for standard reports in Adobe Analytics, but please figure out how to have it in Workspace as well.Jarno Rossijarno.rossi@luxottica.com
We're currently looking at importing offline sales data in order to help us evaluate the performance of our optimisation campaigns. Ideally I want to be able to look at the A4T ranked report with a number of online metrics and our offline sale metric. I've attached a screenshot which shows the standard A4T ranked report and the Sales metric that is being imported using Data Sources. Currently we're importing the sales metric as event11 and correlating with purchaseID, so when I look at the purchaseID report against event11 I'm seeing data as expected. However, if I try to breakdown A4T activity reporting by purchaseID and then tie to event11 it will show all as zeros. I'm assuming this is because the sales event is only correlated with the purchaseID but not the A4T activity report. It would be extremely useful to be able to evaluate Target campaign performance against offline data that forms a key part of the end to end purchase funnel.
I would love to see the ability to limit User capabilities within Analysis Workspace. I continue building out beautiful visualizations that someone destroys based on things they weren't supposed to click on. Right now all I can do is limit their ability to create and curate, but not edit. I would like to take away certain users ability to edit these dashboard but continue to leverage the interactive capabilities of Analysis Workspace. I spent more time re-building broken dashboards based on user error than anything else which is devaluing the tool.
