I've entered the following expression in a calculated field to remove pieces of text/numbers from another custom text field, but I get the following error message: "This is an invalid custom expression, please try again." LEFT({DE:Custom Field Placeholder}, 7), & MID({DE:Custom Field Placeholder}, 9, LEN({DE:Custom Field Placeholder}) -8) Am I missing anything in particular?  Thought I entered it correctly.

Hello,we have Automatic Reminders turned on in Workfront but I am trying to understand which date it is using to constitute something as overdue.Example: A task was entered on 2/27/2024 and a due date was set for 4/9/2024. The due date later was changed to 6/1/2024 and then again to 8/1/2024.The automatic reminder seems to only look at the first due date (4/9/2024) and does not take into consideration the due dates that were updated later.Has anyone else found this to be happening?If so, this is a bit frustrating since I know the due date has not yet passed but the automatic reminder makes it seem like it is way overdue. Shouldn't it look at the current due date to determine if a task is overdue? Any help or insight is appreciated.

I am working with a coworker to create a report that will show the cost of each license type that users have tied to their account. What we are trying to do is show the license associated with a user and the cost of that license in a column. The problem is that a custom calculation field isn't showing the cost of any licenses, and as a result, there is nothing to show in a report. Is there a way that we can do this, or is it something that we would need to incorporate something like Fusion into? Below is a screenshot of what we are using to call a field that should be providing license cost data, but is not. Is there something in that code that is incorrect or being called in the wrong way? Thank you!

Hello. I am looking for pointers on the best method to do this. I've never actually been asked by users for this and I know there have been some changes in what possible.If I have a team that wants to see the diffference between the planned and actual hours in a column, my first assumption is that this would be done using a calculated field. Does this field need to be applied to a custom form for each task? Or is there a method to create a column in a view and do some text mode magic.  I did a search and I know there's alot out there about this but some of it goes waaay back. I'd like to hear from you what's best with current options. thank you

Does anyone use Workfront to track a room or piece of equipment as a resource? For example, our AV Media team may need a specific type of equipment for a project and want to see if it is available. I have a document report set up to list documents. It is filtered to show documents within a specific folder (text mode from this post: Document Report to Identify Number of Files in a Specific Folder) and project status is set to planning and current : folders:name=final folders:name_Mod=cicontains project:status=CPL CUR project:status_Mod=inWhich works, but it shows ALL documents in ALL projects.I need an extra filter to show owner home team. In another document report, I have project status set to planning and current and also filtered by owner home team:owner:homeTeamID=abc123 owner:homeTeamID_Mod=in project:status=CPL CUR project:status_Mod=inThis also works but doesn't show me the file I want in the specific folder, as per first example. When I put the text mode together, i.e.:owner:homeTeamID=abc123owner:homeTeamID_Mod=inproject:status=CPL CURproject:status_Mod=infolders:name=finalfolders:name_Mod=cicontains I get nothing showing up. Hello Community.  I have started to think about switching over our current custom Fields we have that list team member (just values).  that we have to manually manage everytime a user leaves etc.   To using the External Lookup to dynamically display the Team Members.  This way, the Manager of the Team can more easily manage the Team and the list,  And then in my custom forms the list is always up to date.  However, I can't seem to figure it out. I honestly don't know what I am doing here.   I have been able to write a API URL that will pull a top level item like Portfolio names but I can't seem to get more than that. Is there a way, maybe with share settings, to prevent users from adding any more documents. after a request is converted to a project.The only way I see is to remove all permission from all users except admins. Thanks in advance.

Hello, and thanks for any support in advance!  I am trying to run a project level report which would show all projects that DID NOT have a type of request submitted as an intra-project request.  Overall example: We expect one of our teams to submit two intra projects requests; one at the start of a project and one at the end the "rank" the project. I am trying to think of a way without Fusion to flag when these HAVE NOT been submitted. Like a governing check to confirm who did not follow process.  Thanks! 

Hello all, I think this will be a fairly simple text mode question for some experts in text mode.  I need to create one report to show a consolidate parent task list from several projects. I've tried creating it in task report and a project report, and I just can't get to the list I want.  Any help will be most appreciated.  Peggy

Has anyone had success using the External Lookup field to limit custom dropdown field options based on the response to a preceding custom drop-down field in the form? Example:We have Business Units, Product Lines, and Products. I want to limit the Product Lines to only show the options that fall under the business unit they have selected. Then, I want to limit the products to only show the products in the product line they have selected. I understand External Lookup is supposed to make this possible, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to set this up. Does anyone have an example they'd be willing to share? Thank you!

Hello! I am having trouble with a DATEDIFF calculated column on a task report. One column is a calculated date field on a custom form field on the task level (Go Live Date Task Level) and the other is the actual completion date of the task (Actual Completion Date). When editing in text mode, none of my attempts produce a successful result. All results are blank, is what I am trying to accomplish possible? 

Hi everyone,Our team would like to customize the subject line of the "All Predecessor Task Completion to Task Dependents" email event notification to show the name of the task that is ready to be worked on vs the completed predecessor task name? Below is a snapshot of the Email Notification in question.The email you receive from this notification displays the Task Name that is ready to start in the body of the email, but there does not seem to be an option to choose this field to display in the subject line. Hey All!We are having a request from the client to present the screenshots of the AEM preview link in Workfront so they can then follow the approval process.Is there a way to do it automatically (fusion?) without the person physically taking the screenshot and uploading to WF?I explored the proofing functionality but it doesn't support 2-factor authenticated pages.Any thoughts? Perhaps it would be somehow possible via AEM?Best, Piotr
