Adobe Workfront

I would like to create a new project view that defaults the sort order of the project list to be name.  It's possible for individual users to change the sort order of the current view to be by name but we want to default the sort order to be name as the default for a particular view.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi! I know the text mode when I want to display another task assignment on a task report that's not already filtering for that specific task, but what about showing the full assignment list when more than one person is assigned since its a string? So basically, I'm looking for the correct text mode to get all assignments instead of just the assigned to name of the primary assignee. displayname=Signatories listdelimiter=<div> listmethod=nested(project.tasks).lists type=iterate valueexpression=IF({name}='Confirm Signatories',{assignedTo}.{name}) valueformat=HTML

Right now all of our requestors inputted requests go to the same report and our traffic team reviews ones specific to their division, which we're handling using just a grouping. I'd like to update the report so the traffic team is only seeing requests for their divisions. Right now the traffic team has the requestors home group's for their specific divisions as their other groups. I think it might be possible to filter based on entered by's home group = user.ids other groups, but I'm not totally sure. Has anyone done anything similar? Do you have any suggestions? 

Hello,I have created several reports in my company's instance of Workfront and several I have created repeating deliveries for and wondering if I am no longer a user in our instance, will those reports still send if I'm an inactive user? Additionally, guessing it won't work properly if I also have the repeating delivery run with my credentials. Anyone run into this situation? Thanks!Mary

Hello community,I use the following valuexpression in my groupings to help make report output (PDF) read better. Unfortunately it displays the actual <br> tag onscreen. My understanding is this is because of the way WF renders to HTML. I love to see the back and forth, full story of review rounds so we can identify bottlenecks directly through tasks, but it is more admin / tasks to work through. How do you prefer to structure you review rounds? Similar detail, more agile open ended Create Design // Receive Approval tasks?    My preference: Create Design and Send Proof Receive Changes Create Design V2 and Send Proof Receive Changes Create Design V3 and Send Proof Receive Final Approval

If a user completes their part of a multi-person assigned task, that user's full planned hours still shows in Workload Balancer, even when the settings for show completed work is turned off. I guess this is since the task isn't fully complete that time is still showing. Is there any way to prevent time from showing in workload balancer for the user who has completed their portion of a task, when the task is still open due to other's outstanding work? Thanks

Once the request queue is submitted along with a few custom forms, we need to restrict any further modifications to the custom form fields. A business rule logic should be implemented to ensure that only the custom forms are restricted post-submission, while other fields such as overview, status, etc., can still be edited

Brand new to Workfront and learning the different complexities of the reporting.  Is it possible to create a report (or view) that only shows Programs that do not have a project with the word "Planogram" within it? I believe I'll need to use Text Mode for creating this filter, but wasn't successful when I used the below.  EXISTS:A:1:project:ID=FIELD:IDEXISTS:A:1:project:name_Mod=notcontainsEXISTS:A:1:project:name=planogram Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Have any of you that might be on the Ultimate license term used or experimented with Business Rules (underneath Setup)?  I have found it can be a good tool, like a Swiss Army knife, to use in situations where you might not think of a solution.  I'll share a few instances below that have been useful for our firm and would love to hear how others utilize the function.   Users not attaching document to request - users were forgetting to attach docs (think brief) to requests and just submitting, making it difficult to supporting teams to know what was needed.  A business rule was created that looked at that project request queue and to see if the has Documents=false on the request.  False means no docs on the request so when user clicks Submit the request doesn't submit and they get a red banner message telling them to include document for submission...attach a document and the submission goes through. What (The Issue):We’re creating a proofing report to track proofs that are taking the longest to get approved. As part of the report, we’ve added a calculated field called “Total Number of Days”, which shows the number of days from the proof’s creation date to its approval date.However, we’re running into a problem: we can’t sort this field when using text mode, as sorting doesn’t seem to behave correctly.Why (The Goal):The goal is to highlight proofs with the longest approval times at the top of the report. This would help stakeholders quickly identify bottlenecks and take action. Our team is a small Marketing team, and we have a need for an all-inclusive Content Calendar (screenshot below) that can show:Spans of campaign in-market time (not working on the project time, but actual in-market/after launch time)Individual Launch dates for items like social posts, email sends, blog posts, PR posts, etc.I've done my best to solve 50% of this (the individual launch dates) by using little emoji's in each "Launch" task in a Project Timeline, so that it auto-populates on our Calendar. However, I have not been able to figure out a way to automate the spans of the dates that a campaign is in-market. It's making me crazy. For now, I'm manually adding them, but I'd love to fix that.How are you doing this, if you are?? Or, even if you have something similar, bring it on! I'd love to see how others do this, and any ideas you have around naming convention, automating the tasks to the calendar, etc.  Any and all input/ideas are appreciated!!

I've added company days off to our default schedule, but there is nothing stopping users from assigning work to be done on days the company has off. For instance - we are closed tomorrow and Wednesday, but I am able to change planned completion dates to those dates without so much as a warning. Is this normal? Is there a way to show that the company is closed on these days when assigning out tasks? Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I am a classic waterfall PM and Workfront Admin. About a year ago I started using the Workfront Kanban functionality to track and move forward some web governance work. Recently my company paid for me to attend some general scrum training, and I just received my PSM 1 certification.  I would love to connect with someone who is currently using scrum within their marketing department. I have some questions about how you define products; your cross-functional team make up and how Workfront plays a role in your documentation.

I'm trying to add either the name of the person who originally made a request, the field would be an Issue Primary Content or the Requested By, on a document report. Does anyone have insight on how to do this?

Anyone know how to report on the dates that a user volunteers to work on a task? Specifically, when a user clicks "Work on it" from the task window of a task that is assigned to a team. I'm trying to show how many tasks a user volunteers for each week.  In the system activity log, the post says "Christine Quick volunteered to work on this". But I can't find a "volunteered date" in the reporting options.  I tried Task > Handoff date, Assigned to > Date Issued, Task > Actual start date, but received no results.  Any help is appreciated!
