 Need to stop all the emails to go out from the engagement program. I just turned the program status to off on the setup tab of the engagement program. Will that work?

I want to keep users from receiving emails from an engagement program but don't want to remove them from it, so I can keep track of what programs they entered. I can't pause (i change them from paused to normal and back to send every two days (a cadence that Marketo doesn't offer)) or remove user from the Engagement Program.   Should I Use Complete users on the Engagement program to keep them from getting more emails on that nurture? What does the "Complete" action do? I can't find any links about the Complete Status on Engagement Programs.  

Hello, Marketo Community!   I'm having trouble figuring out how many people received an email that includes an A/B test.    To give context, this triggered email went out for a few weeks without a challenger, then I added an AB test 50/50 around 1 month ago.    If I pull out an email performance report, I get (sent): Total: 6,523  Version A: 14Version B: 24   Now, that's when things start to get weird: if I create a smart list with the filter "was sent email", I get: Total: 3,943 Version A: 981 Version B: 97   Do you have any idea why these numbers are so different? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I have an open case with Marketo support about this, but I wanted to see if anyone is having the same issue. We have custom fields that are being updated through form submissions on the Marketo side, values are being added to the contact fields in Marketo, but they are not syncing over to Salesforce. When I spoke to support, we did a test by updating the fields on the Salesforce side with different values and it pushed over to Marketo, then we updated in Marketo to what the values should be and it pushed over to Salesforce fine. Marketo support said this is common across its customers, but I'm having trouble understanding the route cause of this issue so it can potentially be avoided in the future. 

Hi All! I'm looking for advice on a tool or service for a client for help with a one-time dedupe project. I posted about this a few years ago but this is a different situation (and a different company) and there may be new tools or services available now. Here's the situation:   Client has Marketo and SFDC Client has duplicate rules enabled in SFDC 60K+ records in SFDC are prevented from syncing to Marketo by means of a checkbox field and a Marketo-created custom filter on the back end As a result of #2, they have just under 7K records in Marketo that can't sync to SFDC because SFDC sees them as dupes. They came in again via a form fill or similar. Client wants to uncheck the "Do Not Sync" box and let all the 60K+ records from SFDC into Marketo This will likely create even more dupes in Marketo but once these are cleaned up, the source for dupes will go away along with the resulting sync problems (yay!) I'm looking for recommendations on how to do the one-time dupe clean-up. Not

I am currently using the MktoForms2 API to use a single form multiple time on a page. I am able to embed a form multiple times with the following: <form class="mktoForm" data-formid="1218"></form>But since the same form is being used multiple times, the IDs inside the forms end up being the same so the page has multiple of the same ids. For example, the page now has multiple of this tag: <label  id="LblFirstName" class="mktoLabel mktoHasWidth movetop" style="width: 100px;"></label> so the id "LblFirstName" shows up multiple times. Is there a way for the forms to have unique IDs for all the elements within the form?

Hi friends, I am new to Marketo and have a few questions related to API user names used for launchpoint integrations. Situation: We have API usernames which is linked to former employee's email address so need to change them. Questions: Can we just edit/change API user name (which is an email)? Is it going to impact the connection? If it is not as easy as just editing the user name/email, what is the step by step process to change API user name? Do we need to be wary of day and time to make this update? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

  Hello all,   if a known Marketo person submits a form and with that form submit also changes the field "Flex Field Newsletter (MKTO)" to true, does that mean the person goes through the Smart Campaign above twice? As in: If the flow is Send Email, does the person receive the email twice?   I believe the answer is yes, and this is so by design, but I wanted to be sure.   Thanks,Michael

Little-publicized, to the point that even Support might not be in the loop: the Visibility Rule Contains operator does allow multiple values.The Contains value is interpreted as a full-fledged regular expression, so use the pipe character | to separate sub-values:In fact, because of this unexpected/undocumented power, you must anchor an expression to avoid surprises:^(TX|FL|PA)$ Otherwise, it's doing a partial match of the full value against each of your pipe-delimited alternatives. This might not be a problem on your forms right now, but if it becomes a problem, you wouldn't know about it immediately.For example, if you were using uppercase state names, then      Contains KANSAS|IDAHO would match both ARKANSAS and KANSAS, and you should use      Contains ^(KANSAS|IDAHO)$ instead.You can also of course do more fancy matches with regexes if you want. And Not Contains is also a regex!

I've been trying to get the 'Sync Person Updates to SFDC' Activity type to get a specific activity from a lead. I checked the lead's activity log and it's there but I can't query it. Is there a limitation or a reason why I can't get this specific Activity Type?

Does anyone know of a tool that can read auto reply emails for out of offices messages? We would like to be able to automate the process of reviewing these emails for the out of office dates so those contacts can be suppressed during the time they are away and reactivated when they return.

Hi Marketo Nation,   I have a quick question about a nurture campaign set up. I am running a content syndication campaign where I receive a number of leads every week. Once I receive those leads, I will be uploading them into Marketo and entering them into a nurture program to first receive the "thank you for downloading" message then a series of 4 emails, 1 every two weeks.   I have a basic two stream structure set up, one for the thank you email and one for the additional bi-weekly cadence. My question is, how do I set up the program to make sure the user once added is transitioned from the welcome email stream to the second content stream? I will be adding new users each week and I want to make sure it is not duplicative for the streams. Do I need to create new lists each week and enter the leads into the nurture stream or am I able to keep the leads all in one list and keep adding to it?   Any insight would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you! We have recently installed Marketo plugin for Outlook and all the tracking works and we are able to see eg. sales email send, link clicks, open in Marketo activity log when we send emails from Outlook.    However, when we were using Word Mailings function, we can only see Sales email send in Marketo activity log but not clicks/ open. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it even possible to view the engagement of Word emails in Marketo?       

Hi,I'm having trouble with syncing to lead queues in Salesforce. We've recently added new lead queues to Salesforce, but these don't show in the drop-down menu for me to select?Is there anything additional I need to do in the Salesforce sync to fix this?Thanks

Hello,   I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this but, we have been trying to integrate ON24 for a few weeks and have been running into issues because some of our fields that have nothing to do with the Custom Object integration have apostrophes and they claim those fields are preventing the integration from working. They want us to remove all apostrophes from our fields but some are in use. Example: Int'l Company Name   Our new concern is if this integration could be a security risk. Why is the connection having issues with fields that have nothing to do with the custom object they had us build for this integration? Could a hack on ON24s side possibly expose our data outside the Custom Object since it seems to be reading those fields as well?   Marketo support has said they also don't understand why those fields that have nothing to do with the Custom Object would be an issue for the integration. Has anyone else ran into this issue?   Thanks

I have a quick question about streams cadences. I have multiple streams that have 3 emails each. I have trigger campaigns set up that will add to the nurture streams by their status in the Salesforce campaigns. If I select the cadence to run weekly and select Mondays and Thursdays, will it send the first email on Thursday in this case, then the second email on Monday and the 3rd on Thursday next week?   And as we go along, whenever they enter a stream, they will receive the first email on the next cadence day and then will receive the 2nd and 3rd emails in the next days? Is that right? This is the first big nurture campaign that I'm doing and I want to make sure I have everything right. Thank you in advance!

HI everyone   We are often getting some "Salesforce Sync Error" for various dataquality reason- FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION: Job Title is mandatory - FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION: External Source is mandatory when Lead Source is External Source  - FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION: Numbers and parentheses allowed only when there is at least one letter in the field value    I realsied that Marketo manage some static list with leads in error but i can't find them whithout the link. in  the alert, Marketo insert a link to this list when more than 5 error of the same type occure the same day.   My question : is there a central place where this static list are stored and available to explore those error and make a big data quality cleaning versus waiting for those error to occure to get notified ? Thanks Yann 

Hello! I am trying to fix this issue that is showing only on Outlook desktop versions, but I ran out of ideas. Trying to achieve rounded shapes with a mix of code+image, so it would render on outlook too.
