I am trying to use the SOAP API to send emails using the requestCampaign method. I can't seem to get Marketo to replace the tokens in my programTokenList. I received the following error:Parameters should be either (source, campaignId, leadList) or (source, programName, campaignName, leadList, programTokenList) (20114)If I make the call and only pass the source, campaignId, and leadList parameters, it works, and sends the email as expected (with all of the default values for tokens). If I try the other method suggested in the error message, I get the same error.I used the SOAP API getCampaignsForSource to get my campaign name, but I've also tried every other variation. For example, I have a program called Send Email via API, and a campaign called Send Email. I've tried passing those values to programName and campaignName, respectively, but also null for programName and Send Email via API.SendEmail for the campaignName. How can I pass the tokens correctly? Hi   I'm hoping to get some advice on building out a subscription page in Marketo and the type of fields I need to create in Salesforce.   The company I work for produces lots of different content topics. I know it's a lot of topics.  Well - my question is what type of field should I create in Salesforce?   My initial thought was to create a multi picklist field in Salesforce. However, when reading through discussion posts here some have used a single checkbox field for True/False.    While a multi-picklist seems to be the most straightforward, the company will also create forms with only one of the topics area for users to subscribe to and I think that would override the previous submissions so I'm unsure if that would work.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks     &n

Hi all,This may be a topic discussed in length and I'm only here for a final validation if anything has changed from Marketo end in the recent months. We would like to use Global gated content forms and in my smart campaigns I would like to use referrer url as the filter to only take the submissions coming from a particular page. Can I trust the referrer URL to always be the correct place the submission come from? If that's reliable, then why do I see various scripted methods using the Forms 2.0 API to inject hidden fields that act as identifiers to decide where did the submission came from? Hi all,  we are looking to revamp our Unsubscribe process to the following:1. User clicks on unsubscribe link within a Marketo EMail  2. User lands on a Marketo Landing page containing a Marketo Webform without form fields - Button only 3. User clicks the button to confirm his decision to unsubscribe 4. unsubscribe is set to true as part of the webform submission   Whilst technically this is not difficult to setup, I am wondering how reliable and safe the above setup will prove to be. -> How reliable is the Marketo webform to identify the existing marketo record when traffic is generated only via the unsubscribe link within a marketo email ? -> What is the likelyhood for this to fail ? -> What risks do we need to consider with the above setup ?   BR, Moritz  

Hi There, We have a third party adding leads to Marketo including a field called "Source URL". The third party identifies that field as a string. Is there a reason I wouldn't be able to map it to a field in Marketo with type URL?    Thanks! Denise

I'm installing a new Marketo instance and doing MKTO-SFDC integration. The document doesn't include creating Interesting Moment fields in SFDC. I remembered there were steps to create those fields last time I did MKTO-SFDC integration which was about 2 years ago. Am I missing something here? Do I still need to create Interesting Moment fields manually or they will be created automatically thru some other way? Thank you!

We have a series of Webhooks that pass engagement data from Marketo to our wider repository of user info and so we can stay in compliance with internal data management processes.    5 of the Webhooks that pass this email engagement data work, however our broader authentication token Webhook that generates the authentication token for the other 5 Webhooks is consistently erroring out on the Marketo side. We have been seeing 400 errors and the Webhook call has failed.    Internally we are not sure how to fix this as we are not seeing any errors come through in the Gateway application. We have looked at the Marketo payload template format and have not had any success with making adjustments and are still getting the same 400 error.    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

Hello, Community!   My Marketo org is integrated to Salesforce. Our SFDC org is going through a problem and can't process many leads at the same time (the SFDC team is working on a solution, but it might take a few weeks).    The problem is, meanwhile, I can't upload lists on Marketo with more than 100 leads without causing an error on SFDC.   We upload many lists on Marketo here, let's say 10/week, usually with 200+ leads, coming from tradeshows and external events we participate.   I talked with Marketo's support and we can't reduce the batch size of leads to Salesforce - it is 300 leads at the time, more than what our SFDC supports now.   So right now our solution is to divide the lists into smaller lists and upload them one by one, waiting 15 minutes between them. You can imagine how frustrating it is.   Does anyone have an idea on how to improve this process while our SFDC org is not ready to receive bigger batches?

We have a similar model and problem as the below post where anytime a person fills out a form on our website we create a new lead, but the contact record is getting updated instead of the lead record. https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-discussions/contact-lead-update-issue/m-p/117214#M76303   When working with duplicate records is there any way to specify in a flow which record gets updated?    Process being used: Update values in a smart campaign flow for things like score, campaign, interesting moment, etc. Sync Person to SFDC and assign to a queue (to purposefully create a new duplicate lead). All of the values get successfully updated on the contact but when creating a duplicate lead the only value that is not replicated is campaign membership. Meaning both contact and lead now have the same score, interesting moment, etc. but only the contact is in the campaign.    We have tried all sorts of combinations like creating the duplicate lead first and then

What has everyone's experience been with email deliverability tools? My team  has the Marketo Email Deliverability PowerPack,which leverages 250ok, but we've also tested Glockapps and the spam testing functionality in Litmus. The problem is that we're getting significantly different results across the different platforms, which means we don't know what to trust. We plan to continue testing these tools to get a better sense of what drives the results on each platform, but in the meantime I'm curious what everyone else's experience has been with any of these tools.

Hi, I am looking at my job category engagement report and noticed that a default status is showing with over 3,000 people in, however the only people in the engagement program should be the job categories listed. I have checked the program by setting up a smart campaign and saying: member of engagement program = true, program name = correct engagement program Job category is not Head of HR, Head of Payroll, Other Payroll, Other HR, Head of Reward, Training Contract and it's coming up with 0, so unsure what default is standing for if everyone within this program has the correct job category.  Any ideas of what it could be? I have a 5 email nurture campaign I want to get detailed analytics for.  I am looking for the best way to provide a subscription report of the people who were sent, opened and clicked each email. Would I have to create a separate smart list for each email and each action? So ie, email 1 clicks would be 1 smart list.   Also ,I looked at all the reports in analytics and I don't see any any report that provides the contact details.    thanks

Hello!   I'm struggling with the filter logic setup and seeking help from advanced users, please.   The campaign is automatically changing the status to incomplete opt-in anytime one of the triggers applies (the person is created, one of the specified forms is filled out or the campaign is requested).   However, we need to make some exclusions - these should be defined using the filters listed below. I want to exclude anyone who is unsubscribed +  any customer contacts + anyone who is a member of a defined smart list or program, as well as anyone who filled other specified forms (different from those listed under trigger; used filter not filled out the form).   I tried multiple variations on filter logic but none seems to be working as expected.   Can anyone help and advise the correct logic I should use, please?   THANKS!

Does anyone know of a particular filter or a way to use filters in a smart list to pull related contacts associated with an account? I can't seem to find a filter that digs into this. I am using the "Has Opportunity" filter and  "Has Opportunity Product" filters, and they are pulling in some of the people I need, but have since found that we have some of our opportunities that don't have a contact on them, and therefore they aren't pulling them in.Any help/guidance is appreciated.Thanks.

Hello, I am now using Marketo Measure(Bizible) with connecting both Marketo and Salesforce. And, opportunities generating in Salesforce are transferred to Bizible correctly.   My question is,,, I don't want to transfer all of the opportunities generated in Salesforce to Bizible. If possible I want to filter by using the Title of opportunities or filter by other field (like  [Oppotrunity].[CampaignId]) in order to filter the opportunities that is sent to Bizible.is it possible,,,?

I have a script in an email that is adding the dollar amount of offers a person is eligible for and showing that in the subject line and the body.  When I look at the email in the preview it is working as it should. Is it possible to create a list of people and view a report of those people's individual open rates? I want to look at a list of people and see how much they interacted with our email campaigns to see if they are more active than average and which people from the list are the most active as far as opening our emails. Does Marketo do this? Hi,   I recently did A/B test for an email sent program. I set up the winner sent to the remaining 40% of the audience.   I had also set up the Email performance report before approve the email sending. But now, when I look at the email performance report, it only shows the data for the 40% of the audience.    Then I tried to go to the the Analytics tap and set up the Email Insights for this email. But nothing is showing:     Could you please help me to trouble shooting?   Thank you  

Sorry for asking a Saleforce question but it's in service of Marketo operations. Does anyone know if data in a Text Area field will definitely be destroyed it the field type is changed to text - even if there are no records with values longer than 255 characters in the field?
