Hi Marketo Community,We are triggering Smart Campaigns via the Marketo API and sending dynamic HTML/RTF content through tokens.Our dynamic token content includes the standard Marketo system unsubscribe token:{{system.unsubscribeLink}}However, when the email is delivered, this token does not get resolved and shows up as raw text instead of being replaced with the actual Marketo unsubscribe URL.Use Case We generate a lot of HTML content on our side The content already contains our own unsubscribe link We want Marketo to reliably replace it with the correct Marketo unsubscribe URL at send time Since content is dynamic, we inject different HTML blocks via tokens ProblemIt seems Marketo does not support nested token resolution (system tokens inside other token values).QuestionIs there any supported way to: Insert or replace a custom variable in our token content with {{system.unsubscribeLink}} Force Marketo to resolve system tokens inside injected token-based HTML Or handle unsubs

Hi Team,We have set up a smart campaign where the initial launch email is sent, followed by a wait step of X days, and then an echo email is sent to non-openers.In case we need to stop the echo email after the initial send — for example, if plans change while contacts are still in the wait step — what would be the correct way to prevent the echo email from sending? Hi Team,I wanted to confirm the best approach for sharing audience counts with stakeholders before an email launch.Our subscription lists contain multiple contacts with the same email address. While Marketo automatically handles duplicates at the time of send, we want to report the accurate unique email count in advance. For example, if a list has 50,000 records and 2,500 duplicate email addresses, the actual send count would be 47,500.Currently, I’m exporting the list and removing duplicates manually in Excel, but I’m looking for a way to get the unique email count directly within Marketo. I tried using the “Duplicate Fields by Email Address” filter, but it returns all records associated with duplicates, not the net duplicate count.Could you please suggest the most efficient way to get the unique email count in Marketo with minimal manual effort?Thanks,Akshat  

My company resides in the U.S., however, we are headquartered in Japan. Both regions currently share one Marketo instance. I just created my first email in Marketo and while everything looked fine in the Preview, when I sent a sample email to myself, there seems to be a global footer (in Japanese) that appeared.  Again, this footer is not in the Preview area of the email nor anywhere while I was creating it. Does our team in Japan need to remove it or is there a way for me to do so? Thanks!

I created two versions of the same email: One using the old editor, built from my own custom template with HTML compiled from MJML One using the new WYSIWYG Email Designer The version built in the old editor is roughly half the size of the new one. With the new editor, I’m constantly hitting Gmail’s 100 KB clipping limit and having emails cut off, even when the visible content is minimal.What’s especially confusing is fragment behavior. When I update a fragment to delete content, the email actually gets larger, sometimes by 30 KB or more. From what I can tell, fragment updates are appending duplicate CSS and redundant markup instead of removing it.I’ve seen mentions that the old editor may be sunset in 2026, and I’m about to build a new nurture program. I’m concerned about being forced onto the new editor when it’s already difficult to keep emails under Gmail’s size limit.Am I missing something here, or are others seeing the same behavior with the new editor?

I’m running a cleanup initiative to reduce clutter from legacy smart lists that are no longer actively maintained.I wanted to confirm best practices before deleting anything: Is it generally safe to rely on the “Used By” tab to identify smart lists that are not referenced by any campaigns, programs, or assets? For smart lists that show no current dependencies and haven’t been modified or used in a long time, is deletion recommended versus archiving? Are there any known risks (hidden dependencies) that we should be aware of before removing them? Thank you in advance.NN

Hello!  I haven’t really encountered this before and wanted to ask: I had sent out an email last week and in the email dashboard it says that the email sent to 1,000 people. However when I clicked on the member tab of the email program or when I create a smart list/email performance report with the was delivered email filter, the number was a lot higher, about 1,600. Any idea on what may be the cause of this discrepancy? The email performance report number as well as the program member number and the smart list number are all the same, but it’s just the dashboard that is off.

Working in the new email template designer I have a published template that looks great and orderly. However, when I send a test to myself, some of the spacing isn’t the same and creates large gaps between the content. Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? 

So, we can see now if and where a token is in use. That’s great!  But looking at it a little more, I was wondering why so many of my Program Tokens were not in use. And in fact: They are in use, but obviously in a way that Marketo doesn’t recognize. I’d tentatively say this: “Used by” is only recorded when the token is in the body of an email or in a rich text area on a landing page. It is not recorded if the token is in a Smart Campaign Flow Step, in the meta tags on a landing page or in the local variables of an email module. That is probably not the extensive list, but be careful when deleting local tokens that are indicated to not be in use. It might be misleading.

Anyone had any luck connecting Zapier to Marketo zia SSFS?  We’ve been testing a Zap but after following the documentation and steps, when pulling in the Zapier SSFS it came with a field titled Origin and neither Zapier or Marketo support are sure why or what we should populate in that field to make it work. Anyone had any experience with this? 

We are currently experiencing significant sync latency between Salesforce (SFDC) and Marketo. We have observed a large backlog of records for both Lead and Contact objects. Currently, the sync cycle is taking almost 24 hours to process and clear the backlog, which is severely impacting our real-time marketing operations and sales handoff. Hi Everyone,I need to pull list of all leads created/updated in last 24 hours. Currently we are using Bulk Export API to pull all activities for this purpose but need to move away from this due to existing high usage of Bulk Export in other processes.Is there any Rest API which allows us to pull all leads with updates in a particular timeframe?I have already tried Get Lead Changes, but it is only returning newly created leads even when I filter by updatedAt. 

Marketo’s onValidate and friends stack like DOM event listeners: they run in the order they were added. But there are still major differences:In Marketo, the listener stack isn’t deduped. If you add the same listener function 3 times, it’ll run 3 times. We have a ZoomInfo tracking snippet installed on our Marketo landing pages. ZoomInfo is integrated with Marketo, and we’ve configured it to de-anonymize specific job titles from the company-level data captured when users visit a Marketo landing page. Once those contacts sync, we trigger a campaign for them.While I can see traffic to the landing page, ZoomInfo is not showing any visitor information—it indicates that there is no data available to de-anonymize. Is there a known issue with using the ZoomInfo tracking snippet on Marketo landing pages, or is there a specific placement requirement for the snippet? The snippet is working as expected on our website pages.

We started using Dynamic Chat and are finding some gaps in the reporting that we would love to have. Currently, the default just shows everyone that reached any goal within a dialogue. The issue is that 1 dialogue may have multiple different goals and not all are as  important as others (i.e. we have an MQL goal vs someone who is subscribing to receive content). We want to be able to see in the reports the conversations by goal to show over time how many people hit each different goal.What I’m also noticing is that the global reports are pretty good, but you cannot segment them at all by dialogue on that screen and it’s causing me to go into each dialogue to see it’s performance. I’d love a filter at the top for the different dialogues so you have it in 1 place and can view all the reports. I’d also like to have the ability to compare across different dialogues easier. For instance, we have so many people that engaged across all of our dialogues over time, but I’d like to see that 10 w
