Ability to Filter for Assets in Archived Folders Only in Design Studio

Right now Marketo's asset search (and the multi-select picker) doesn't have a dedicated "archived only" filter. The "include archived" option just merges archived items back in with your active ones, so you end up scrolling through both together instead of being able to isolate the retired content. Not ideal when you're doing clean-up and really don't want to risk touching something that's still live.

A couple of things that may help you work around this in the meantime:

1. In Advanced Search, select all the asset types you want to review, then uncheck "Active Trigger" from the list. That drops active/trigger campaigns out of the results, which narrows things down quite a bit and makes it easier to spot what's actually sitting in archived folders instead of wading through everything that's still live.
2. Longer term, it's worth setting up one global Archive folder and making it a habit going forward - any time a program or asset gets retired, move it into that folder right away instead of leaving it scattered around its original location. Once that becomes routine, future clean-up passes get a lot faster because you already know exactly where to look, instead of hunting for archived content across the whole instance.

Neither of these gets you the exact filter you're describing, but they've made governance and clean-up noticeably more manageable for us in the meantime.

Thank you very much for your reply. 

I don’t believe the ‘active trigger’ in advanced search allows you to view isolated archived content. The advanced search also doesn't allow for multiple assets to be selected, so i would still need to manually select each content for clean up.  Please do advise if this doesn’t sound correct :-)

We do already have global archive folders to reduce the admin, but I'm still at a loss with cleaning up 100’s of legacy programs, assets, campaigns etc. For example in Design Studio where you can ‘include archive folders’, when trying to select multiple assets, because it doesn't allow you to isolate archived folder content when selecting multiple assets to be unapproved or deleted. 

We are also utilising our marketo agency to run an API for unapproved assets in the archived folder to reduce the manual labour of cleaning up the archived legacy content, but its frustrating that a simple feature doesn't already exist natively for basic housekeeping requirements.
