When I create a new folder in assets, there is a checkbox for Private and Orderable. what do each of those properties impact specifically?

Hi friends,  Has anyone experienced metadata fields disappearing from their AEM Assets? They populate in Content Hub, but are no longer in AEM Assets. It looks like our ability to edit metadata schemas has been removed as well. Hi, I am new to AEM and exploring the mobile apps part of it.  The AEM help section has a phone gap kitchen sink example at https://github.com/blefebvre/aem-phone gap-kitchen-sink I downloaded the zip file but when I try to extract it ,it throws an error 'The zip file is invalid". Hi everyone,We have an event handler to handle the replication event and are doing some processing based on that. And we have a scheduled job to republish a list of pages. Now we don't want to get that event handler triggered when the replication event occurs by this job.Is there a way to identify the replication event is coming from that particular job or any other way to achieve this?

Hi all, my first post here. 🙂 Please let me know if things aren't clear. I'm responsible for maintaining an AEM as a Cloud Service instance that will serve about 20 sites, each with its own domain name and hence its own certificate(s). I don't want to maintain them manually.  From what I've seen in this community someone in 2019 asked a similar question but it seemed clearly targeted for on-prem (happy to be wrong though):https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/regarding-renewing-the-ssl-certs-automatically-in-author-and/m-p/318289 So my question is whether one can somehow integrate a tool like Certbot (https://certbot.eff.org/) that would automatically renew all certificates (usually on a quarterly basis)? As it was developed for webservers likes Apache's httpd that underlie AEMaaCS it seems like a natural fit. If not, how do others manage instances with many domain names? Thank you in advance,Jakob.

I am encountering a strange issue in AEM. We have multiple projects (representing different domains) on a single instance, each with its own separate codebase.The problem is that the references for an asset are updated correctly when the page belongs to a particular project (lets say A). However, if I use the same asset on a page from a different project (lets say B), the reference does not get updated, and in the asset properties, it shows 0 references. I am using AEM SP 17.What I tried:1. Either I deploy project A or B, the problem remains there. In both scenarios references are updated only if the asset is used in project A.2. No browser console errors are there when I open the asset > properties > references after using it on a page in project B.3. Hi, I have a requirement in which if a workflow runs on a particular private folder (having all child as dam:assets) then it creats groups with the folder name and tag name (tag name is a String [ ] property in the folder schema  ) and then it will navigate through all the child assets and one by one it will match the tag of the asset (tag of the asset is a string [ ] property in metadata schema ) with the current folder tag .if folder tag matched with the tag applied to that asset then that asset will be allowed read permission for that group. The problem is suppose :Two groups created one is "folder tag 1" group and anothr is "folder tag 2"  groupso folder tag 1 group people should ony see all the assets having tag 1 applied and folder tag 2 group should only see all the assets having tag 2 applied. How to achieve that programatically. How can i deny all the child assets and give access to only those assets having that particular tag and also i have to give p

Hi all, I have recently setup dispatcher on our dev environment, i added few servlets to our filters file so they are not blocked. Everything works great over port 80 (HTTP), however today i configured SSL and added port 443 to the listener. I see some of the filters that are supposed to allow the requests are blocking them including the servlets, any idea on how the filter file needs to be modified to work with HTTPS ? Thanks,Abhishek

1) When i click on "open properties" am redirecting to page which contains error. Error:- Cannot serve request to /mnt/overlay/wcm/core/content/sites/properties.html in /libs/granite/ui/components/foundation/form/field/field.jsp 2) when i try to click on configure of a component, dialog box is not opened and i can see an error in console. Error:- Cannot serve request to /mnt/override/apps/componentpathl/_cq_dialog.html/pagepath/jcr:content/par/carousel in /libs/granite/ui/components/foundation/form/field/field.jsp aem- v6.4.5acs-aem commons- v3.17.4How to overcome these errors?Thanks in advance.

I am working on React component to integrate the data from AEM content fragment. In React code I using the asset api to read the content json and populate in UI. asset api JSON response is working fine in author environemnt, but when I publish the page to my dev environment it is not working. In AEM 6.5 onPrime I have a AEM brand portal setting which i converted from JWT To Oauth. When i check the health of my IMS Configuration, its showing unhealthy configuration hostname may not be empty.The same Oauth setting is working in my local instance.what configuration i might be missing on server?I have created the IMS configuration with Oauth option and provided all required values from developer console project.I also tested the Oauth in Postman and its generating the access token
