Can we use Adobe Translation Project to translate the PDFs that are created out of AEM Forms? We use Assembler service to generate PDFs from XDP. Either translation the PDF or XDP should work. Can this be done using the Adobe Translation service.

Hi @kalyan

Adobe Translation Project does not directly translate PDFs or XDPs created from AEM Forms using the Assembler service. However, there are workflows within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) that can assist in translating forms, particularly adaptive forms, through the use of AEM's translation workflow.

AEM provides a translation workflow that can be leveraged to translate adaptive forms, which can be derived from PDF forms. The AEM translation workflow supports machine translation and human translation processes. The machine translation service is pre-configured to use a trial version of Microsoft Translator for machine translation, allowing you to translate the content of adaptive forms into various languages. This is a built-in feature of AEM Forms, which helps in localizing forms to serve a wider audience across different geographies.

To utilize this feature, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Add a Dictionary: On the AEM Forms UI, select the form you wish to translate and choose the option to add a dictionary. You can either create a new translation project or add the form to an existing translation project.
  2. Select Target Languages: Specify the target languages for the translation. The form will be translated into all specified locales.
  3. Manage Translation Projects: Use the translation projects to oversee the content translation process. This involves managing translation jobs and ensuring that the translated content is reviewed and approved.
