Looks like my company will be approving the purchase of Fusion. Do you current users have any advice, tips for those just starting out with Fusion?

Go thru the standard Fusion training
Learn as much as you can about the API
Practice on your Preview environment
Document/Comment on all your scenarios and modules
Ask a lot of questions in the forums (but not frivolous ones!)
