Portfolio Net Value

Hi all, As per the documentation, projects' net values come from the business case and are calculated as follows: Project Net Value = Planned Benefit - Budgeted Cost - Potential Risk Cost We don't commence our projects from a business case, and so the planned revenues and costs are not entered there. Consequently our Portfolio net values show as zero. Our projects do however accumulate planned revenues and costs as we build the project plans. For us, it would be really nice if the Portfolio-level summary of net value was calculated based on projects' planned costs and revenues, rather than from their business case. Does anyone else feel that way? Or, do you think it is best to manually maintain the business case planned revenue and costs, even if the business case functionality doesn't form part of our project intake process. Both. Front end AOP at the portfolio level and "actuals" that roll up from the program/project level. So you could then see which programs are running hot/cold and click into the projects that may/may not be contributing to the status. Great idea! Connie Connie Sutherland BSC
