Is there a way for an Admin to update users' tasks status in bulk?

We have some old tasks that were not checked off in the beginning of our use of WF- is there a way that Admin can change the status of the task- without "completing" the project? Julie Ohman - WF user since May 21, 2018

Yes. Under Edit Project > Settings change the Completion Mode to Manual. Then close as many Tasks as you wish (bulk edit – I assume). The Project won't go Complete until you change the Status.
