How do I (an admin) grant reporting access to a user?

Avatar

I'm an admin for my organization and I have the "Reporting" tab at the top of my screen. I created a report and shared it to one of my team members who is NOT an admin. She does not have the "Reporting" tab at the top of her screen. How do I get her that tab so she can see the report? A step-by-step guide would be super helpful - we are very new to Workfront. Thank you all for your help! (Also if there's a better place to post questions please let me know.)

Hi Travis, There's a couple of ways you can go with this. I'll work from easiest to most difficult. While #3 is most difficult, it might be the best option in the long run to save you from this trouble. You can simply send her a link to the report by copying the URL and sending it to her. She doesn't need the menu to see a report. This is often the best way to send someone a report link anyway – gets them a direct click to the report instead of having to find it. Open her profile and change it in her profile Search > People > her name > Edit > Preferences > In the Global Nav bar, show: (see screen shots) Add or change a Layout Template so she (and everyone else gets that option Setup > New Layout Template (or if you have one already, use that) > In the Global Nav bar, show: (see screen shots) Then go to Assign People tab and enter whomever you want (persons, roles, teams, groups) Let me know if you need more info. Hi Travis, In addition to Vic's excellent options, for more personalized reports (and/or until you're ready to take the Layout Template plunge), another approach is to: Log In As your team member As "her", search for and select the report (using top right search box) Once the report is open, click the Star (top right) and +Add Current Page as a Favorite From then on, she can simply click the Star and select the Report to run it.
