How can I change the color of the hairline outline around a field?

Avatar

The hairline outline around fields in reports and project templates is very difficult to see. It's almost non-existent. I have several people on my team that have trouble viewing it and can't quite click into the box to change the status. See screen shot attached. How can I change the hairline outline to a dark color like black? Thanks.

Unfortunately, this functionality does not exist. I do invite you to submit this as an idea: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-ideas/idb-p/workfront-ideas

One idea that you could try is using conditional formatting to change the background color to see if that could help your users.

Will Workfront let you add multiple conditional formatting rules to a column? I already have 1 conditional formatting rule in the column. I tried adding your suggested formatting rule but it's not working.

You can create multiple rules but it will only apply 1 rule based on the order of the rules.

I did notice the box does darken to a darker blue when editing the field, but I can see how this could be hard to see.

Right, but you can't see the box if you don't click into it. When I look at a report that needs inline editing, you don't know where to click. In the example below, I have a dropdown box of "yes and no". You would never know that by looking at it. You have to click into it and the field highlights, but barely. I actually changed the custom form to radio buttons hoping that it would show up within the field but it didn't, i'm only able to use a dropdown menu. thanks for your help. looks like I can't do anything to make it better.
