Email is a part of modern work…there's no way we can get around it.

Prevent your inbox from becoming overwhelmed by managing your Workfront Event notifications. Get information about assignments that help you complete your work. Event notifications are predefined in Workfront and are usually triggered by certain events. After the event notifications are activated by your Workfront administrator or group administrator, you can select which ones you would like to receive by editing your Notifications preferences in your user profile.

Event Notifications can either be instant or, in some cases, in a Daily Digest. Choose a time to receive the daily digest that works best for you. Select the notifications you need to keep on top of your daily work (each section listed below will contain a list of notifications to modify):

Event Notification Sections:

  • Action Needed
  • Requests I have Made
  • Communication
  • Approval Information
  • Information about Work Assigned to Me
  • Information about Projects I Won
  • Information about Projects I Sponsor
  • Goals* (Workfront Goals only)
  • Miscellaneous Information

To view and modify your email notification settings in the New Experience:

  1. Click the Main Menu icon in the upper-right corner of Workfront, then click your user name next to your profile picture.
  2. Click the More icon (3 dots) , then click Edit.
  3. In the Edit Person box that displays, go to the Notifications section.
  4. Click a category to view the notification settings related to that category.

To view and modify your email notification settings in the Classic:

  1. Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of Workfront.
  2. Click My Settings.
  3. In the My Settings screen that appears, click Notifications.
  4. Click a category to view the notification settings related to that category.

  • Action Needed‚ÄîI get a new work request.
  • Information about Projects I Own‚ÄîA project I own gets behind.
  • Communication‚ÄîSomeone tags me in a directed update.

  • Information about Projects I Own‚ÄîI’m set as the owner of a new project.
