Dynamic Board - How do your teams manage card volume?

Hello! We have a team who is using a Dynamic Board and have experienced performance issues from the get go. Support has suggested one possibility for reducing problems is lower card count. Documentation shows max is 700 tasks + 700 issues including archive.

We are at 300 task cards, 100+ active & rest are archived. It seems counter intuitive to have to manually delete cards. It would make more sense to have auto-delete just like auto archive. In any case, I am curious how others are managing card count.

Thanks!

We tried using Boards for a few teams but have abandoned the effort. Even with less than 100 total cards we experienced latency too great to bear with. We also experienced bugs with cards duplicating instead of moving from column to column, cards not moving based on status, etc. We went back to using standard reporting on dashboards.

Using a Board for a specific project with limited card count may work better but we wanted it for ongoing team assignments.

Hi Randy, thank you for sharing your experience!

We have had the same and other issues. Luckily there has been improvement (for us at least) on latency, and recently there was a fix to the subtask issue.

This team came from using a different board product, so a board is a core part of their standard workflow. Since current issues are not disrupting work so we are going to try deleting all the archived cards and see if that improves performance.

I just posted an idea for auto-deletion of cards if anyone would like to vote!
