SOLVED

documents are not appearing

I’m currently experiencing an issue in Workfront where I can see incoming requests, but the associated documents are not appearing on my end. I’ve confirmed with the requesters that the documents have been uploaded successfully.

I’ve already tried updating my browser and clearing my cache, but unfortunately, that hasn’t resolved the issue.

Hi @TroyMc1,

Taking into consideration the fact that the documents are uploaded directly everything should work correctly, and even having only view access rights is enough (I have just checked).

Could you please go to the network tab of your browser (developer options) and check this request internal/documents/getFolderContents , and show the response here, it should show that the request has document/s and show the details like when it was uploaded, access rights, storage location etc... If you could provide this it would be great.

Next thing I can think of is if you maybe have some automation in Fusion that is any modification actions with the request or document? For example are you copy pasting tasks (converting to project?), are you assigning custom forms on upload to the documents etc? Do you have any automation that could potentially break this?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Ivan

Hi @TroyMc1 ,

just for the context, are those documents uploaded alongside request on the request creation, are they uploaded separately or are they maybe linked from somewhere?

Best regards,

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for your response.

To clarify, the documents in question were uploaded at the time the request was originally submitted. They were not added later or linked from an external source. I can see the document names in the email notification I received, but when I open the task in Workfront, there’s no sign of the attachments—they don’t appear in the “Documents” section or anywhere else in the task view.

Let me know if there’s a specific setting or workflow that might be affecting visibility, or if you need any additional details from my end.

Best regards,
Troy McClory

@IvanBebek-iX ,

The issue has now been resolved, it ended up being that our administration had made some changes to permissions.
