we have a calculated field that we want to display 1, if in the radio button, "A", was selected, 2 if "B" was selected, 3 if "C" was selected and 4 if "D" was selected.

Hi there, you’d need to add custom form fields for all of your answer options and use display logic to associate them.
So you have the main question with your A-D radio buttons. You’d also have a custom form field question associated with each, so fields 1-4 based on your example.
In your display logic on 1-4 fields, you’d indicate if answer A is selected then show question 1. If answer B is selected then show question 2, etc. So you’d have 5 fields for this total: 1 for radio buttons A-D, then 1 field each for answers 1-4.
