approval paths order issue inside approval process

Avatar

I am creating an approval process with multiple approval paths.

The order of approval paths shows deviation from what im creating.

I added path 6 with approved as the initial status. On refreshing it went on top and appeared as the first path.

Is anyone aware of the reason for that

Is there any specific rule for approval paths order based on the initial and rejected status?

Hi @AmbiliT_ ,

Per official documentation https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/administration-and-setup/customize/approv...

  • (Optional) Click Add path to add another path to the approval process, referring to the list of options in the previous step.

The new path must be associated with another status. The path triggers when the item is updated to show this status. You cannot have two paths for the same status.

As you always have a new status that you have to define for a path, the order does not matter, because the specific path logic will be triggered for specific status. Maybe the paths are sorted alphabetically, this could explain Approved being moved to the first place, but this still does not change anything as the logic triggers on specific status change.

Hopefully this makes it clear.

Best regards,
Ivan

Thank you! @IvanBebek-iX

Have noticed one thing that when the target status is kept constant for all paths,  the order is appearing in the same way as giving it.
