Any alternatives that enable light users to Edit tasks or mark them complete

Are there any alternative methods/ways that can be utilized to allow light users to indirectly make changes to tasks or at least mark them complete. Preferably not using Fusion.

That access level won't allow contribute at the project level, unfortunately.  What we do when we're working with agency folks is assure our PM is checking in with them, going through tasks, and our PM validates and updates the project plan for their tasks.  It could work the same way for any light user.
