0 Day Task Durations showing as "Late"

Hello,

Is there a way to prevent 0 Day task durations from showing as "Late?" We don't use planned hours and have our task constraints set to "As Soon as Possible." We were told a couple ways to do this which we don't really prefer:

1. Change task duration to 1 day and manually make the due on date the same day

2. Change the schedule mode on a project to "Completion Date"

I have tried adjusting our project schedule from the typical 9a-5a to 5a-midnight to see if that made any difference, but it did not.

Any help or other ideas would be appreciated!

Hi,

Take a look at the task tracking mode settings. If you edit the tasks that have 0 day duration and change the tracking mode to "Assume On Time" you should find that they will never appear as late as Workfront will always assume that they are on time.

You can find more information about task tracking modes here

Rich.

Thanks! That seems to help, but if a user actually happens to complete the task late (the next day) - will it still show as "On-Time" if this task setting is changed?

No problem. Yes, If a user completes a task after the planned completion date it will still show as "on time" if the tracking mode is set to assume on time.
