Description - Requesting time off on behalf of an user in a different time zone results in 2 days booked in the system

Why is this feature important to you - We would like to have the ability to book days off on behalf of the end users regardless of time zones, as we have user located Globally in AMER, EMEA and APAC region.

I too have a global environment and there is a learning curve to viewing time off calendars for individuals. Usually what the calendar is showing is correct. For example is my coworker in Taiwan takes off Friday, March 8th. When she looks at her time off it will show Friday, March 8th. However, when I'm looking it will straddle Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8th. This is because in Taiwan 9 am Friday is 9 pm Thursday in Baltimore. If I only saw Friday March 8th on my calendar that would be incorrect and missing half of her off day.

I say all of this, but I agree there is probably a cleaner way to visually show this in the system for everyone to understand. Maybe a color code for different time zones or an icon with a hover message stating "User will return at 9pm Eastern"

I submitted a ticket for this about a year ago. They know it's a problem as there is an existing story already, they just haven't fixed it. Case #00347060
