Task Constraints that will move planned start dates based on ACTUAL completion dates for predecessors

My team hates having late tasks in their queue when it's something out of their control - ie the person before them is late submitting their task.

It would be nice to have a task constraint move the planned start date based on the previous task completion date. Right now there is no way for the system to move these dates instead the whole project just shows late for everyone else down the line causing a ripple effect of unease.

We have been struggling with with issue as well. Especially when a task sits with an Approver past the task completion date. When this happens, some of our users throw their hands up and say "well, then NO dates are valid." This doesn't help us when trying to keep work moving.

The next task start date should be adjusted automatically based on the predecessor's actual completion date. This should also trigger an update/notification/flag on the project letting us know that this ("override"?) happened.

Please do this. Please, please please. Doing this would eliminate A LOT of manual adjustment and report analysis. It would be immediately clear that projects were ahead or behind, by how much, etc.

This reminds me of this As Soon As Possible post.

It strikes me as something that those with Fusion and inclination could automate...as could those without one or the other using our UberCalc solution...or either, in your case, @EileenWom
