Support for Outlook Client Plug-In

Everyone, I've been made aware that Workfront intents to stop support and development on non-Outlook365 platforms, to include 2010 and 2013. If you're like me, and work for a company with "sensitive" information that will preclude the use of a web based platform, and will never migrate to Outlook365, you'll lose support for the Outlook plug-in functionality. That said, WF has said that if there is enough support to keep the plug-in, they would consider and potentially support the app in perpetuity. Please chime in here if you need the continued support for the plug-in.

ViaSat will continue to need the plug-in and it's support in perpetuity!!!

-Edit-

I'm bumping this as WF is again scheduling the removal of support for the desktop app in leu of Outlook 365, which is the web based platform, only... If you want/need this service, please comment here and vote to keep this feature supported in the platform!!!

I am a new user and was sold on all plug-in that WorkFront had to offer, OutLook was one of the important one for our company

We also notice that they will only support web Outlook365 - not the desktop version

Would like to have the continue support and plug-in for desk top OutLook version

Hi Ian, Jay,

The new integration with Outlook works with both Outlook Web and Outlook Desktop (2013 and 2016). You DON'T need an O365 subscription to install and use the new add-in, it's optional. Moreover, the new add-in works both on Mac and PC Outlook Desktop clients and also on Outlook Mobile app ((as opposed to the old one which was limited to only PC desktop). I strongly recommend to use the new one, as it will get regular updates and stay maintained.

Hi Hayk,

We did when to the same link you provide and was not able to get it for our Outlook 2016 MAC desktop (or PC)

we have the enterprise version and it does not have a store tab, so when download - it goes to the web version

I have open 2 ticket with your support team and both could not help

Open to any advise you may have,

Jay

Ian,

We agree with your request for WF to continue support and improvement of Outlook integration for desktop version. We also use the enterprise version and therefore, we have not been able to interface. As a financial institution, our IT security protocol will not allow use of web-based products. This is a very important tool which we need to improve our user adoption.
