Idea is to have an Approval Path for incoming requests, and for approved requests to automatically update to "Approved" Status. For example, we set up a new request queue to build a Project Roadmap. These are potential projects that will be coming later in the year. We created a basic form to gather info for our VPs to review and make an informed decision to move forward.
Workflow is as follows:
Step 1: Request Received
Step 2: “VP Approver” (Job Role) to Approve Request (via Approval Path)
If Approved, Request should show as “Approved”
If Rejected, Request should show as “Rejected”
In testing, a new request comes in as "New - Pending Approval". However, when the request is approved, it changes the status to "New" vs "Approved". We need another field in the Approval Path to identify the status based on the parameters.
