"Projects I'm On" and "Projects I Own" button enhancements

When you click on the "Projects I'm On" button, it turns blue and changes the filter to "Projects I'm On".

When you clicks on "Projects I'm On" again, the button turns back to gray, as if it is unselected. But the view doesn't return to the previous projects view. It reverts to "My Projects".

This happens regardless of what view was selected before or what the user's default view is. This creates confusion.

I would like either

  • Unselecting the filter returns to the previous filter
  • Or the ability for the system admins to remove these buttons.

I have so many frustrations with these buttons. Just a couple...

  • There's no way to select them then further filter the results. When I click Projects I'm On I get 5,000+ results, dating back to 2016. I would love to be able to use Projects I Own, then further filter for Active or Completed
  • These buttons also show for users who are not planners and will never see anything under Projects I Own - and they don't realize why. Ideally for those users, I'd get rid of these buttons and customize their layout template to just see the filters that are useful to them.

Same experience as Heather here. We would also like to configure these buttons, they're just not useful as they currently work - no one wants to see inactive projects in their main view. They're so nice and easy to click, but we can't take advantage of them.

Heather and Sheri, I agree that having them stack with other filters would help the confusion. I would edit my original post to include those also, but I'm not seeing an edit button.
